Sorrow Dawn Hordes - Privacy Policy
In short. Hold out until dawn. Grow your Lantern Tree. Offline, no account, free to play. There is no account and no sign-up. Nothing leaves your phone except what this page names.
1. What the app does
Sorrow Dawn Hordes is an Android app by JabbieWorld (https://jabbie.world). Hold out until dawn. Grow your Lantern Tree. Offline, no account, free to play.
2. Who is responsible
JabbieWorld, a trade name of Alexander Wannyn (https://jabbie.world), is responsible for this app. Contact: https://jabbie.world. Email: info@jabbie.world.
3. Data that stays on your device
- Game data: your coins, rank, Lantern Tree upgrades, unlocked heroes, arenas and Sorrow levels, achievements, codex, run goals, Daily Run best, settings, and the counters that limit reward videos (how many you watched today, runs started, sessions). It is stored in one save file on your phone only. I cannot see it, and it is not sent anywhere.
- The save file is protected against edits with a key kept on your phone. If it cannot be read, the game sets it aside and starts a new player.
- Clearing the app's data (Android Settings > Apps > Sorrow Dawn Hordes > Storage > Clear data) removes your progress and settings and shows the consent message again.
- Sorrow Dawn Hordes has no account, no multiplayer, no chat, and no feature that sends your progress or results to me or to other players. It makes no network calls of its own: the only network traffic is the ad SDK described below.
4. Reward videos and consent
- The only ads are reward videos from Google AdMob that you choose to watch: a second chance after a fall, a bigger coin haul once a day, or a card reroll. There are no banners and no ads between screens. No offer appears before your third run or in your first session, and at most 10 are shown per day.
- Before the ad SDK starts, the game shows Google's consent message (Google User Messaging Platform) where the law requires it. The ad SDK is not started before that is answered. You can change your answer any time in the game's privacy options.
- When you watch a video, Google processes data such as your IP address, the advertising ID and ad interactions to serve and measure ads, as the sections on ads and network use above describe. I receive none of it.
- If no ad is available, you are offline, or you decline consent, the game plays on and no reward video is offered.
- Legal basis: reward videos are shown only on your request, and where the law requires it only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)).
5. Data collected and why
Google Play lists these data types for Sorrow Dawn Hordes:
| Data | Why | Shared with a third party | Optional |
|---|---|---|---|
| Approximate location | Advertising or marketing; Analytics; Fraud prevention, security, and compliance | Yes | No |
| Diagnostics | Advertising or marketing; Analytics; Fraud prevention, security, and compliance | Yes | No |
| App interactions | Advertising or marketing; Analytics; Fraud prevention, security, and compliance | Yes | No |
| Device or other IDs | Advertising or marketing; Analytics; Fraud prevention, security, and compliance | Yes | No |
"Shared" means the data goes to a third party that decides for itself how to process it (for ads, that is Google AdMob).
Nothing else is collected. Your files and settings stay on your device. I do not sell personal data.
6. Ads and how to opt out
Sorrow Dawn Hordes shows ads served by Google AdMob (Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited). AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and other device data to show ads, limit how often you see them and detect fraud. Google decides for itself how it processes this data, as an independent controller. How Google handles it: policies.google.com/technologies/ads and policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses information from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland): where the law requires it, a consent message lets you accept or refuse personalised ads and the use of device identifiers. Personalised ads rest on that consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can change your choice later under Privacy options in the app's settings, where available.
- Opt out of personalisation: open Android Settings > Google > Ads (the path varies by device) and turn off ad personalisation, or visit adssettings.google.com.
- Reset or delete the advertising ID: in the same Ads settings choose Reset advertising ID or Delete advertising ID. Resetting gives you a new ID; deleting it stops ads being personalised with it.
Anyone the age check (see Children) treats as possibly under 18 gets only non-personalised ads rated for general audiences (G), through Google's child-directed and under-age-of-consent treatment. The ad formats are: optional rewarded ads. A rewarded ad is optional: you choose to watch it and get a reward in return (run: 1).
7. Purchases
Sorrow Dawn Hordes sells nothing and has no paid features.
8. Network use
Sorrow Dawn Hordes sends nothing to a server of mine. The only network traffic is what Ads and Purchases describe.
9. Legal bases (GDPR)
- What the app does on your device: it happens locally, at your request. No personal data about it reaches me.
- What the app sends over the internet for its job: the section that describes it names the legal basis.
- The age check: it runs only on your device and serves my legal obligation to protect minors (Article 6(1)(c)).
- Messages you send me: my legitimate interest in answering you (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Ads and purchases: where the app has them, Ads and Purchases give the legal basis.
10. Retention
I run no servers for this app and hold no data about you, so I have nothing to retain. Settings and progress stay on your device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall the app. Data that Google receives for ads or purchases is kept under Google's own policies. Messages you send me are kept only as long as needed to answer you.
11. International transfers
Data that Google receives for ads or purchases (Ads, Purchases) may be processed in countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States, under safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. See policies.google.com/privacy for details. Any other internet service this page names may also process your request outside your country, under its own policy.
12. Your rights and deleting your data
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can ask for access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of or a copy of your personal data, object to processing, withdraw consent at any time, and complain to your local data protection authority.
- Data held by me: none, apart from messages you send me. To have a conversation deleted, contact me at https://jabbie.world. Email: info@jabbie.world.
- Data on your device: uninstall the app, or open Android Settings > Apps > Sorrow Dawn Hordes > Storage > Clear data.
- Data held by Google: manage or delete your Google activity at myactivity.google.com; where the app shows ads, Ads says how to reset or delete the advertising ID. Requests about data Google holds go to Google.
I answer requests within 30 days.
13. Children
Sorrow Dawn Hordes is for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. The app asks for your month and year of birth (never the day) when you first open it. Only those two are stored, on your device, and it is never sent to me or to Google; the app treats anyone it may consider under 18 as a minor, and Ads says what that means for ads. I do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent me data, contact me as Who is responsible describes and I will delete it.
14. Security
The app requests only the permissions it needs, and what it keeps for you stays on your device. Google's ad and billing libraries, where Ads and Purchases name them, connect over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).
15. Changes
If this policy changes, I update this page and its date. Material changes are also reflected in the Google Play Data safety section.
