MonMon
MonMon: Talking Virtual Pet
A virtual pet you can talk to. It answers, plays and grows, all on your phone.

Screenshots
Meet a small creature that lives on your phone. Tap the microphone and talk to it. It listens, thinks and answers out loud in its own voice. Show it a photo, ask it a question, feed it, play with it, and watch it grow from an egg.
Its brain runs on your phone. What you say, type and show stays on your phone. The few things that go online are listed under Private by design. There is no account and no sign-up.
HOW IT WORKS
- Enter your year of birth, then choose what your pet may do. The microphone, the camera and online lookups are all off until you switch them on.
- Your egg hatches. Your pet asks for your first name and remembers it.
- Tap the microphone and speak, or tap the keyboard and type. When you stop talking, it answers.
- Come back when you like. Feed it, play with it and talk some more.
WHAT YOU GET
- Talk and listen: tap to talk, hold to talk, or let it listen all the time (best with headphones)
- Its own voice: it speaks each sentence while it is still thinking of the next, and a tap on it makes it stop
- Show me something: take a photo and it tells you what it sees
- Look it up: when a question needs the internet, it asks you first, every time
- Care: feed it, clean up, bedtime, wake up and medicine. It shows what it needs only when it needs it, with an icon and never a number
- Toys and snacks: a ball, a feather and a bell to play with, and snacks from its pantry
- A wish a day: one small wish, like a joke or a number puzzle. Do it and it earns a snack
- Hearts: they count the days you cared for it. One missed day is forgiven, and a longer break never takes the last heart
- Growth you can see: its nature follows what you talk about, it can grow into a new form, and a tree grows in its world
- Pet it: tap for a chirp, stroke for hearts and a purr
- 47 creatures to choose from and four worlds: a meadow, a pine forest, a cherry hill and a cozy room
- Weather: pick a city in the settings and your pet tells you the weather
- Little jobs, switched off until you turn them on: ask it to set an alarm or a timer, draft a text or an email, add a calendar entry or open an app. Alarms and timers can be undone. Drafts, searches and calendar entries wait for your yes, and you tap send yourself
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- The brain, the voice and the ears all run on your phone
- Your voice and your photos never leave it
- A lookup goes online only after you say yes to that question, and the weather only after you switch it on and pick a city
- No account, no analytics from us
- The network is used for the downloads you start, the lookups and weather you allow, and the short ad (Google AdMob)
FREE, WITH ONE SHORT AD
- Watch one short ad and talking with Auria is open for an hour
- If no ad can be shown, you can talk anyway
- Feeding, petting, toys and wishes never ask for an ad
- A watched ad also gives your pet three snacks, up to two times a day
- No banners, no full-screen ads in between, nothing to buy
GOOD TO KNOW
- For people aged 13 and over. MonMon talks and listens in English.
- The first start downloads your pet's brain and voice, once. The brain is about 1 GB to 3.7 GB, and the app suggests the one that fits your phone. The voice and ears are about 250 MB. Wi-Fi is best, and the app can wait for it.
- It thinks on your phone, so an answer can take a few seconds, longer on an older phone.
- A small language model can make mistakes. Do not rely on it for medical, legal or safety advice.
